Short Term/commercial Line and Underwriter

**Job description**:
The Operational Accountant is responsible to provide an operational accounting function to the PSG Short-Term
Insurance Administration Platform.
**Responsibilities**:
- Insurer reporting
- Commission and binder fee reconciliation and payment
- Premium and claims bordereaux validation and submission
- Claims float top-up requests
- Bank reconciliations
- CBR reporting
- Salvage and recoveries management and payment
- Payment approvals
- Resolution of queries received from internal or external stakeholders
Skill sets required:
- Grade 12 with Accounting
- Diploma in Financial Accounting or related financial qualification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience with accounting and financial reconciliations in an insurance/broker
environment
- Experience with the SKI (Genasys) and Tial systems will serve as an advantage
- Understanding of premium collection advantageous
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent numerical skills
- Accurate and detail orientated

- Resilient
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
