**RESPONSIBLE PHARMACIST**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- 5 years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Propharm computer systems experience
- BPharm / equivalent qualification
- Experience in blister packaging
- Computer literate - MS Office
- Staff-supervision experience
- Willing to work retail hours
- English, Afrikaans fluency
- Solid mathematical skills
- Retail/FMCG expertise
- SAPC registration

**DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY**:

- The purchase, acquisition, import, possession, use, release, storage, packaging, repackaging, supply, or sale of any medicine or scheduled substance, or its oversight.
- The compounding, manipulation, preparation, or packaging of any medication or controlled substance, as well as the oversight.
- Accurately interpret scripts and act professionally and responsibly, while adhering to the SAPC's legal requirements.
- Stay track of modifications to medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and disbursement.
- Providing information and advice to anyone regarding the use of medicine.
- The production of any drug or controlled substance, or the oversight thereof.
- Delivery of any controlled substance or medication per a physician's order.

**EMPLOYMENT TERMS**:

- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Willing and able to work retail hours
- SA Pharmacy Council-registered
- Fit and able to stand for hours
- Clear criminal records

**REMUNERATION**:

- Market-related salary
