**Key Responsibilities**:
- Disassemble, inspect, and clean engine components, identifying worn or damaged parts.
- Use diagnostic tools to assess engine performance issues and develop solutions.
- Repair or replace engine parts, including pistons, cylinders, camshafts, bearings, and gaskets.
- Reassemble engines to manufacturer specifications, ensuring all components meet safety and quality standards.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to confirm engine functionality and reliability.
- Maintain detailed records of parts, repairs, and work performed.
- Follow safety protocols and keep work areas organized and free of hazards.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in engine rebuilding technology and practices.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or degree in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
- Proven experience as an Engine Rebuilder or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and automotive electronics.
- Skilled in using diagnostic equipment and rebuilding tools.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for heavy lifting and working in tight spaces.
- Good communication skills and the ability to document work accurately.
**Work Environment**:
- Primarily in a shop or workshop setting, with exposure to mechanical equipment and noise.
- May require lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.
Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
