Duties/Pligte
- Teaching financial planning topics at postgraduate level in accordance with the FPI syllabus;
- Managing and coordinating the delivery of the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning modules;
- Ensuring the Business School's ongoing FPI-accreditation status and participating in accreditation audits;
- Contributing to research through internationally recognised publications, collaborations and projects;
- Supervising postgraduate research at the Master's and PhD-level, commensurate with the level of appointment;
- Expanding the networks between the Business School and the financial planning industry;
- Participating in the administration of some departmental activities.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

**For Lecturer**:

- Qualified as a Certified Financial Planner® and a member in good standing of the FPI;
- A relevant master's degree;
- At least five years' appropriate financial planning experience.

**For Senior Lecturer**:

- Qualified as a Certified Financial Planner® and a member in good standing of the FPI;
- A relevant master's degree, e.g., MBA, LLM, MCom;
- At least five years' appropriate financial planning experience;
- Experience in teaching financial planning topics at postgraduate level;
- Good research potential demonstrated via a record of research output (including scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals and papers presented at conferences);
- Commencement or planning of PhD studies in a relevant field.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- PhD degree awarded by a recognised university in a relevant field;
- Strong experience of teaching and learning in financial planning topics;
- International experience and a network in the financial services industry;
- A proven track record of engagement with practitioners, or serving on committees of the FPI or other relevant professional bodies.
