Solar Electrician/installer

**1. Pre-installation process**
- Conduct site visits and determine detailed scope of work;
- Design solutions for installations and determine Bill of Quantities for solar projects; and
- Rope in specialist resources, for bigger and more complex installations.

**2. Installation Planning**
- Manage the planning process for all installations, including booking installer time;
- Ensure that all required materials and labour are available on time for planned installations, in collaboration with the supply chain administrator; and
- Assist in the selection of installation materials based on price/quality for bulk procurement.

**3. Installations (Execution)**
- Ensure the team executing the installations is equipped and skilled to do the tasks;
- Safeguard the safety of the installers and properties that they work on;
- Drive the quality of the installations and provide guidance and training to the installation teams where appropriate;
- Adhere to the Health and Safety standards for installations;
- Ensure wiring and installations are all in line with applicable standards; and
- Conduct COCs and take full responsibility of your role as an Electrician, as regulated.

**4. Post-installation**
- Attend to follow up queries on all installations and assign tasks to the installation teams where necessary
- Manage any defects/issues to closure
- Respond to technical queries from clients

**Requirements of the job**
- Wireman’s License - Installation Electrician
- At least 3 years’ experience as an Electrician
- 1-year Solar PV experience
- PV Greencard, P4 or similar qualification
- Certified to work at heights

**Experience**:

- Electrical Installation: 2 years (required)
- Victron/Sunsynk/kodak/mecer installation: 1 year (preferred)
- Solar PV installation: 1 year (required)
- Regular driving: 1 year (required)

License/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
- Wireman's License - Installation Electrician (required)
- PV GreenCard or similar (required)
