Risk and Compliance Officer

**Purpose of Role**:
This role will support the CFO to drive the risk management, compliance and governance functions of the organisation to ensure that:
- Operational, governance and functional risks are identified and effectively managed; and,
- The entity complies with all internal and external statues and regulations
**Objectives of Role**:
- Risk management_
- Manage the organisation’s risk register.
- Assist in identifying new and emerging risks across the organisation as new products and processes are launched; and as there are changes in laws and regulations.
- Log and report on risk incidents.
- Compliance_
- Maintain an annual compliance calendar to ensure that all regulatory submissions are made timeously across the organisation. This role will make all CIPC submissions.
- Maintain the organisation’s governance documents.
- Lead organisational policies review.
- Work with outsourced legal services to draft and maintain standard contract templates.
- Ensure annual completion of declaration of interests by the Board and Exco.
- Maintain the organisation’s gift register.
- Liaise with the outsourced company secretarial service provider.
- Maintain BEE compliance schedule.
- Manage the annual BEE audit
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree; and
- Minimum three years relevant work experience; and
- Advanced computer literacy.
**Competencies**:
- Identification with E Squared values and mission.
- Report writing to senior management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments at once.
- Self-motivation.
