**Minimum Requirements**:
- Young, vibrant and willing to learn
- Technical skills and a keen enthusiasm for motor vehicles
- Good timekeeping and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills English & Afrikaans _(most training offered in English)_
- _Previous experience with PDR techniques (advantageous)._
- Previous experience in the automotive repair industry or dealership workshop environment. _(advantageous)._
- Must reside within areasonable commutable distance to Somerset West or surrounding areas
- Valid South African driver’s license
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift light to moderately heavy equipment.
- Must have visual acuity and hand steadiness.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assists a qualified technician with PDR repairs to vehicles while developing towards becoming a fully qualified, PDR Technician
- Learn how to accurately clock times on all jobs.
- Ensure understanding of Repair Order Instructions before work begins
- Learn how to plan a job and identify parts that must be ordered
- Attends prescribed training
- Assess damage and determine feasibility of PDR repairs.
- Repair dents, dings, hail damage, creases, and minor body imperfections without affecting the original paint.
- Use specialized PDR tools and techniques (e.g. rods, lights, glue pulling, knockdowns) to remove damage.
- Document repairs and maintain repair records accurately.
- Ensure work meets manufacturer and dealership quality standards.
- Communicate repair status and timelines with Service Advisors or Workshop Controllers.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe workspace
