- Preventative Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining equipment to prevent breakdowns and prolong its lifespan is crucial. Machine maintenance technician perform routine inspections, adjust maintenance schedules based on usage, and keep accurate records of maintenance activities. By implementing preventative maintenance programs, they minimize downtime and ensure equipment remains in good working order
- Hand Tools: Proficiency in using hand tools is essential.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs): Understanding PLCs is vital. These control systems automate machinery and processes. Technician should be able to program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs1. Also understand sensors and limit switches.
- CNC Machines: Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines is valuable. These automated tools are used for precision machining and fabrication
- Production Equipment: A strong understanding of production equipment is necessary. Technician work with various machines and systems to ensure smooth production processes
- Mechanical Equipment: Repairing mechanical systems is a core skill. Technicians diagnose and fix issues related to mechanical components
- Continuous Improvement: Being adept at continuous improvement helps technicians enhance processes and optimize equipment performance
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Analytical Abilities: Understanding complex electrical systems requires analytical thinking. Electrical technicians must analyse blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to construct and repair electrical equipment
- Electrical Safety: Proficiency in safety protocols is non-negotiable. Electrical technicians must adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure their well-being and that of others**Inherent Requirements**
