**Duties**:

- Responsible for cabling, installation, configuration, and support of network equipment i.e access points across the LAN, WLAN, and WAN, both wired and wireless
- Cross functional troubleshooting support for internal and external clients and network fault investigations.
- Review client requirements and define the optimal networking solutions in accordance with organizational policies.
- Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
- Responsible for installation and fault finding of equipment on site.
- Co-ordinate with Project Managers, 3rd party vendors and clients to complete installations.
- Ensure that installations are completed to a high standard, on time and every time with a first-time right policy.
- Basic equipment configuration.
- Various collections of stock.
- Manage and co-ordinate Installations Technicians.
- Provide feedback to the Installations Manager

**Experience/skills**
- Experience with Cat5 Cat6 cables a must
- Experienced in basic setup and wireless installations, overlays and roaming on wireless spacing wireless and output power on different frequencies a must
- Experienced in infrastructure installation of Setup Documents, including qualification report
- Willing and able to travel to corporate clients to work on site
- No Criminal Record and clean credit check
- Have an understanding of basic networking.
- Be able to configure basic network equipment.
- Must be able to co-ordinate and manage people like 3rd party vendors, staff, etc.
- Ability to work with his hands - installing equipment in cabinets, trace cables, inventory checks.
- Drivers’ License.
- Must be willing to travel to installation sites.
- Be presentable when on site and dealing directly with clients.
- Must be able to work after hours when required.

**Qualifications**

Matric / Grade 12

Degree/ Diploma in Information Technology

Minimum 1- 2 years Network cabling experience a must
