**Job Title: Experienced Afrikaans Tutor/Teacher (Grade 5-11)**

**About the Role**

We are looking for a passionate, experienced **Afrikaans Tutor/Teacher** to teach Afrikaans First Additional Language to learners in **Grades 5 through 11**. This is not your typical classroom—we are looking for someone who is **quick on their feet**, **creative in their approach**, and who knows how to make learning **fun, relevant, and engaging**.

**Responsibilities**
- Teach Afrikaans FAL to small groups and individual learners (Gr 5-11)
- Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and academic needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and energetic learning environment
- Develop or adapt resources to support CAPS-aligned and learner-driven teaching
- Provide informal progress feedback to learners and parents
- Work collaboratively with a small team in a flexible, ever-changing environment

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
- Minimum 2 years teaching/tutoring experience (Grade 5-11 preferred)
- Deep understanding of CAPS curriculum for Afrikaans FAL
- Comfortable working in a non-traditional, flexible educational environment
- Able to build trust and rapport with learners quickly
- Creative, adaptable, and solution-oriented

**Nice to Have**
- Homeschooling experience
- Background in remedial or learner support
- Experience with neurodiverse learners
