Legal Advisor

**The Gold One Group is looking for a Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team. This position will be based in Springs and Roodepoort, reporting to the Head of Legal.**

**LEGAL ADVISOR X1 (GRADING C5)**

**_Qualifying Criteria:_**

- **Qualified attorney or advocate with a minimum of 2 years post-admission experience**
- **Broad working knowledge of legislation governing the mining industry**
- **Knowledge of Environmental law and Mine, Health & Safety law**
- **Experience in labour law, including disciplinary hearings, CCMA, and Labour Court**
- **Experience in commercial law**
- **Computer literate**
- **Valid driver’s license**
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- South African Citizenship
- Clear Criminal Record

**_Responsibilities:_**

- Support the Head of Legal in ensuring consistency and quality of approach and delivery of a value-adding, proactive legal service with an emphasis on Labour, Mining, Environmental, and Commercial law.
- Assist in providing legal services and advice in written and verbal form across the Gold One Group.
- Represent the company at the CCMA.
- Liaise with external counsel on all litigation matters.
- Manage the contract, litigation, and regulatory databases across the Gold One Group.
- Inform the Gold One Group of any regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide general advice on a wide range of matters across the Gold One Group.
- Assist in the drafting and reviewing of various agreements to be concluded on behalf of the Group.
- Engage and manage internal and external stakeholder relations.
- Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
