We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Purchasing Department in the capacity of Assistant Buyer for our Branded Footwear category. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about fashion and product to join the exciting world of eCommerce.
**Key Performance Areas**:

- Assist the Buyer in building product range.
- Assist in facilitating and conducting the pre-season order selection process.
- Ensuring orders are placed and effectively manage the purchase order process.
- Manage and implement replenishment orders
- Requests discount approvals, when required.
- Manage and monitor supplier deliveries
- Assist in selecting the correct suppliers for the appropriate product category and managing these supplier relations.
- Assist in ensuring the marketing process is driven by supplying the correct information and product for promotions.
**Education, skills, behaviour and knowledge required**:

- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate - high school qualification).
- Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in assisting a Buyer within a retail environment
- Branded footwear experience highly advantageous.
- Advanced level in MS Office package - with a specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
- A good understanding of the South African consumer market.
- A passion for fashion and creative ability for new innovations.
- Ability to assist in manage stockholding.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints.
- Ability to think strategically and commercially.
- Good presentation skills.
