- BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE:
- To secure new business by marketing the Company’s services within the geographic boundaries of the assigned region. The new business targeted should fall within the Company’s competencies and infrastructure.- 1. Leadership:
- Identify and timeously address problems and opportunities central to business success. Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant targets and quality requirements.- 2. Customer Service:
- Comply with all required systems, processes, and procedures. Assist in achieving service level agreements in terms of compliance, delivery lead-times and service deadlines.- 3. Continuous improvement:
- Identify and address areas for continuous improvement. Ensure that Quality is maintained- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE:
- 1. New Business Sales:
- Meet and exceed monthly new business sales targets. Sell the Company’s services to all customers within set regional boundaries. Ensure that the account is secured in its entirety i.e.maximum potential. Negotiate gross profits in line with company objectives- 2. Sales Procedures and cycle:- 3. Sales Opportunities: Identify and secure additional sales opportunities within new business accounts.- 4. Sales targets:
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets. Comply with and exceed the Company’s minimum sales activity targets.- 5. Record-keeping:
- Maintain a daily, reliable, up-to-date customer entry on the CRM system.- 6. Reporting:
- Report to the Managing Executive on matters such as: Market trends ,Customer suggestions, issues and complaints, Competitor activity. Attend and contribute positively to sales meetings. Complete and submit periodic sales reports, before the stipulated deadlines, when requested by the Managing Executive-
**Inherent Requirements**
- QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES:
- Qualifications:
- Valid Grade 12 National Senior Certificate- Code 8 South African Driver’s License- Tertiary education, beneficial- Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience and proven track record within a strategic sales / target driven environment.- Experience in the courier industry is preferable.- Skills:
- Good decision-making skills. Excellent people skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Good analytical skills. Good planning and organisational skills. Good research skills. Networking skills. Time management. Strategic selling skills. Strategic and executive level negotiations skills. Ability to secure national group accounts- Knowledge:
