**Job description**:
PSG Distribution is currently recruiting for a Category I Compliance Officer position. Reporting to the Head: Compliance - Distribution, you will overall be responsible for the implementation of relevant legislation regulations and to drive quality assurance and compliance adherence on the PSG Admin platform and adviser offices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deal with Ombud matters direct complaints and binder complaints
- Keeping the complaint register up to date and ensuring that complaints are dealt with within timeframes as per compliance policy
- Monthly and quarterly complaints reporting to PSG Insure and PSG Admin
- Maintain the Key Individual/representative register
- Review and resolve Fit and Proper queries
- Regular interaction with all stakeholders in the business, including intermediaries
- Conduct and report on compliance audits at Adviser offices and Insure Platform
- Identify potential compliance breaches and investigate compliance irregularities or areas of concern
- Assistance with compliance projects
- Aligning to all TCF principles
- Assistance with regulatory information submissions
- Staying abreast of developments in the regulatory environment and presenting ad hoc training and information sessions for staff
- Regular feedback and updates of developments to the Board, management and staff
- Attend to preparation, timeous circulation of all board reports and minutes with keen attention to detail required
- Ensuring that best practice in terms of corporate governance, and ensuring the implementation of King and other statutory and regulatory requirements for the Board
- Feedback and updates of the status of compliance in the business as a whole
- Assist Compliance Manager with ad hoc requests and assistance to non-executive directors of the Board

**Skill sets required**:

- Relevant qualification such as B Com Law or equivalent
- Must be a registered and FSCA Compliance Officer In the possession of all appropriate SAIFM Compliance certification
- Knowledge of FICA, FAIS and relevant legislation, regulations and rules
- 2 years’ relevant experience
- Short-term insurance experience requirement
