**Main purpose of the job**

The Junior Additive Manufacturing Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the additive manufacturing process. The individual will be responsible for assisting with the setup, operation, and maintenance of 3D printing equipment, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality parts. The individual will work closely with the senior manufacturing team to optimise processes, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to production timelines. This role is ideal for an entry-level professional looking to grow within the rapidly evolving field of additive manufacturing.

- Technical Assistance
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Collaboration and Communication

**Nature of appointment**: Two (2) year Fixed-term Support Services

**Minimum salary scale**(Total Cost to Company): R 144 000 per annum

**Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience**
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- One (1) year of experience in Additive Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of 3D printing technologies (Polymer and Metal LPBF etc.) through formal education or practical exposure.

**Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience**
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support role.
- Experience with 3D printing (either in an academic, internship, or practical setting) will be a strong advantage.
