Structural Draughtsman

Client in the Steel Fabrication & Steel Construction industry in Rustenburg, North West has a vacancy for a driven and experienced Structural Draughtsman to join their design engineering team. This position will report directly to the General Manager.

**Minimum requirements**

**_Minimum qualification_***:
Industry Applicable qualification in Draughting

**_Minimum Experience:_**
5+ years’ experience in structural draughting and configuration management

5+ years’ experience in structural draughting in the steel industry

Valid driver's license

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit.

Sound knowledge and experience of TEKLA

Own transportation

**Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
Function independently, driven and can handle high-pressure and bottleneck situations.

Knowledge of TEKLA

Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and drafting using Solidworks.

Self-motivated and highly organized.

Attention to detail.

Structural Works including concrete and steel structures & buildings.

Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills

**Role & Responsibilities**
Design structures, such as buildings or bridges.

Create structural models by using computer-aided design software.

Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influence.

Follow construction safety guidelines.

Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications.
