**CAPE TOWN**
- Responsible for formulation and execution of the people strategy, policies, systems, infrastructure, and procedures to ensure the professional management of the entire Human Resources function. Supporting the achievement of the business strategy through the development of integrated HR strategies, processes and providing professional advisory and HR services to the business.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Strategic Initiatives**:
Develop and implement the HR strategy to ensure alignment with the overall company strategy.
Provide strategic advice to the business pertaining to HR matters.
Provide competent strategic input that will ensure alignment of HR services, policies and processes to business objectives.
- **Financial Management**:
Manage budgets and monitor expenses ensuring expenditure is within the budget to ensure continuous cost saving.
- **Reporting and Compliance**:
Provide HR related reports such as exit trends, enabling business to make sound decisions on employee matters.
Manage and oversee accurate submission/reporting of various HR reports, i.e. skills development, employment equity to the executive committee and statutory/regulatory bodies, as required.
Adhere to legal compliance of all HR policies and provide input into policy updates and reviews.
- **People Management**:
Provide leadership to entire HR team, defining objectives to be achieved by the department.
Manage performance of direct reports by ensuring agreement of annual goals, measuring performance against agreed goals and addressing non-performance issues.
Manage the working environment and ensure it contributes to improving staff morale and increasing productivity.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Diploma in the Human Resources/Industrial & Organisational Psychology**:

- **A Leadership Degree will be an added advantage**:

- **Registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) will be an added advantage**:

- **10 Years’ experience in the Human Resources field, five of which should be at senior management level.**:

- **Exposure to exco and board committees**
