**VACANCY: Locum Housekeeper**

Mitchells Plain Transitional Care Facility (MPTCF) - Managed by Aquarius Health Care NPC/NPO.

Mitchell's Plain Intermediate Care Facility is situated on the premises of Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital. The facility has 148 beds, responsible for the rehabilitation of patients, wound care, palliative and convalescent care.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties may vary by assignment or contract.)
- Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks this includes sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows, etc
- Notify Housekeeping Team leader/Supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms by washing down and properly sanitizing walls, floors and toilets
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical products and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Clean kitchens - refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, remove garbage and medical waste in accordance with established procedures
- Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures regarding food handling, personal hygiene, safety, and proper sanitation
- Ensure constant cleanliness of dining areas, floors, tables and kitchen equipment
- Hostess Duties - Dishing of food
- As needed on different(rotating between) shifts

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric/Grade 12
- Proven work experience as a cleaner/hostess
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Must be available to work 12 hours shifts, weekends and public holidays when needed.

**ADDITIONAL TASK**
- In addition to the above tasks, the official has to perform any other task (s) not mentioned above as long as it is within his/her capabilities and scope of work.
