**Contract Manager**:

- REQUISITION ID: 8443- LOCATION: Cape Town, ZA, 8001- DEPARTMENT: Legal / Compliance / Security**Mission**:Responsible for claim and contract management in PM South Africa covering scope end-to end with the customers.

**Function**:

- Initial contracting strategy study, including suggestions and continuous improvement.
- Study of the contracts to be managed (including annexes and related contracts), identifying risks, developing solutions and mitigations, maintaining the relevant confidentiality.
- Work, at all times, in coordination with the Project Management team and with Legal.
- Support to Service teams when required.
- Defining and promoting alignment with the rest of the SAAPAC region (Australia, Spain) processes and methodologies and best practices that enhance claims and contract management service.
- Collaboration, if and when needed, with Commercial Operations, Sales and Legal departments in the review and negotiations of new contracts.
- Collaborate with and support the Project Management department in relation to the claims and notices exchanged with the clients. The Contract Manager will be in charge of analyzing the issues with the relevant team and drafting the communications, correspondence and documents to be issued to the clients according to the contract and the Company’s procedures, requesting/addressing the need of guidance/support from other departments such as, but not limited to, Legal, when there is legal implication/risk, or Finance, as required.
- Maintain contractual records and documentation in accordance with the Companies ‘policies.
- Ensure communications and notifications with customers are delivered at all times according to the contractual terms.
- Support all claims in an end-to-end approach and consolidate information to deliver Claim/contract management KPIs dashboard. Support the organization on solving any contract-related problem that may arise with suppliers, insurance companies and customers.
- Contributing to the team’s success by partnering with all the stakeholders to review operating procedures and processes, ensuring that the best possible practices are maintained, and the claim/contract management is well-established in the region.
- Engage different stakeholders in Nordex to bring changes to protect Nordex from the contractual perspective.
- Ensure back-to-back between suppliers and customers to avoid claims and, if any, protect Nordex as much as possible.
- Taking lessons learnt in projects to give feedback to Commercial Operations department within sales and Global Functions for a continuous improvement of our contractual terms and conditions. Create and maintain the database of lessons learnt.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, with the support of Legal and Compliance departments.

**Qualifications**:Engineering. Preferably Industrial, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.

**Will be a plus**:
Programs focused on Management of Business environments /Compliance/Contract Management/knowledge in FIDIC, GCC, JBCC, NEC or other type of engineering contracts.

**Profile**:

- Extensive experience in contract management with similar type of contracts (turbine supply agreements, construction contracts, EPC)
- Well
- versed and with a good understanding of contract terms and conditions and scope of works and product, risk management, and best practices
- Having keen attention to detail and problem
- solving ability
- The ability to interface effectively with all business functions throughout the organization, in particular with Project Management
- A teamwork player able to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
