A global manufacturing organisation is wishing to appoint a Quality Manager to develop and manage the Quality Management functions and systems with the objective of ensuring and assisting the business to achieve its strategic objectives. Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Understand customer quality requirements and ensure the business delivers accordingly.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our customers.
- Ensure all warranty or replacement orders are 100% conforming to requirements within the agreed timelines.
- Identify route cause of product failure in the market and implement corrective and preventative actions. Sustainability, NPI, VA/VE
- Contribute and conform to sustainability requirements.
- Support and implement NPI and VA/VE activities as per project timelines.
- Ensure all NPI and VA/VE projects conform to Quality specifications or requirements. Financial Effectiveness
- Ensure that the Department meets all legal requirements and complies with the GROUP standard of ethics.
- Manage and control resources to ensure adherence to approved budgeted/forecast expenditure.
- Manage non-conforming product as per requirements (weekly, scrap or rework) and implement preventative actions to achieve budget targets.
- Measure cost of quality. Quality Management, CIP and Risk Management
- Maintain Quality Management systems and certifications.
- Daily recording of non-conforming product with root cause analysis.
- Daily recording of Rework ours as part of cost of quality.
- Ensure Goods Receiving Inspections are effective.
- Develop Internal audit schedule and perform accordingly.
- Plan and implement corrective actions as and when require in order to meet objectives.
- Ensure that all quality defects are corrected, such set targets and objectives are achieved.
- Identify risks and propose solutions in areas outside of your control. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in 6 Lean Workshops per annum.
- Drive "Lean” in your area of responsibility i.e., Error Proofing.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture within your team.
- Constantly seek new or improve “ways of doing” things and implement them in your department.
- Support Lean or improvement activities within the team. People and Partnerships
- Direct subordinates to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Setting individual team goals to support Company Objectives.
- Identify training and development needs of subordinates and implement.
- Drive a high-performance culture within your area by setting standards and hold people accountable.
- Value each person’s contribution, mutual respect and understanding.
- Ensure open and transparent communication.
- Contribute positively to the effective functionality of the Management team.
- Drive suggestions from your team.
- Communicate effectively to the workforce.
- Ensure all activities takes place in a safe manner.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Qualification & Experience:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Quality Management.
- AtlLeast 4
- 10 years of experience in Quality Management.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- A Good understanding of Quality Systems.
- Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Excel.

Job Type
: Permanent Salary: R700,000.00 per year Ability to commute/relocate:
