Recipe Writer

**Purpose of the Job**:
If you enjoy finding and fixing errors in recipes and food blogs and enjoy the thrill of consistently turning out perfectly cooked and baked goods, then we have just the role for you.

We are in need of someone to create value, quality, and consistency in our products produced in our stores all over the country by writing clear recipe content. As Recipe Writer, you would also be responsible for cataloguing and maintaining our almost 12 000 existing recipes and the practice of regularly updating and monthly publishing processes. You would have a critical role in mitigating brand and product risk by preventing recipe deviations and ultimately improving the quality of the product produced across our stores.

**Job Objectives**:
Generating high-quality, relevant content and owning the end-to-end recipe writing / content creation process.
Writing clear and compelling recipes to describe in detail the steps and ingredients used during the preparation of products.
Measuring success by ensuring copy is 100% accurate in achieving the best quality product.
Creating a catalogue / directory of current recipes to ensure ease of access and use by stores.
Editing, revising and reviewing the recipe in response to feedback received from key stakeholders.
Ensuring that monthly updates are published and received by all stores.
Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to produce recipe copy that best communicates the highest quality and consistency in that product - leaving no room for deviations or alternate steps / ingredient use.

**Qualifications**:
Degree or Diploma in English, Copywriting, Foods, or a related field - (essential).

**Experience**:
+2 years’ experience in a Recipe Copywriter or similar role, with well developed recipe copywriting and editing skills along with a demonstrable portfolio of Foods copywriting samples or published articles - (essential).
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems or creating catalogues and directories for a large user base (stores) - (essential).

**Knowledge and Skills**:
A meticulous approach to highly detailed work, a natural aptitude for identifying actual and potential errors - (essential)
Desktop research skills - (essential)
Proficiency in MS Office 365 - (essential).

Excellent writing skills - Possesses a strong, versatile writing skill set along with strong editing and proofreading skills to produce accurate, compelling and consistent content.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to assimilate various sources of information while balancing the creative and analytical sides of communication to inform strong messaging and content.
Organised - Ability to create directories and logical storage for access by multiple users. Approach the short
- and longer-term plan with the correct objectives in mind and staying the course.
