General Reinsurance, Cape Town Branch (a subsidary of General Reinsurance AG) is offering an opportunity for** **Segment Pricing Actuary** in our **Life Australia, UK, SA, Canada **division.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Primary responsibilities across the CUSAC Region**:

- Pricing support in all types of business.
- Support with tenders from existing and new clients.
- Process reviews for actuarial pricing and monitoring.
- Pricing reviews on existing business.
- Review and assist with the development of Terms of Trade.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**:

- Qualified actuary with a minimum of 5-year experience.
- Reinsurance pricing experience would be advantageous.
- Prepared to work across multiple time zones.
- Prepared to spend time outside of their home country as the role involves global travel.
- Highly collaborative in working style & approach.
- Able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills that enables them to summarise complex information and present at conferences.
- Exposure to mortality and morbidity experience studies.

**Desired**:

- ** **GGY Axis knowledge.
- Actuarial modelling skills.
- Statistical analysis including machine learning technique to support experience reviews.
- Coding skills in VBA, SQL, R or other statistical coding environments.
- An interest in analytics and modelling mortality/morbidity experience.
