**Minimum Requirements**:

- B-Com Honours
- CIA
- IIA membership
- Min 8 years internal auditing experience with at least 5 years managerial experience
- Experience in using CAATs (Using ACL, or another tool)
- Understanding of the COSO Framework and the Risk Based Audit methodology
- Knowledge of International Internal Auditing Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards, VAT Act, Water Services Act, PFMA, Companies Act and Corporate Governance
- Principles of Project Management
- Background knowledge of ISO standards on integrated SHEQ Auditing

**Primary Duties**:

- Contribute to the development of a strategic three year rolling internal audit plan and annual plan.
- Identify specialised skill requirements and allocation of resources at the planning stage.
- Identify and rate the risk, cost implication and potential benefits or real savings.
- Develop and maintain high performance culture and efficiency.
- Manage, supervise and direct team of auditors during the execution of audits.
- Review the customer requirement on a continuous basis to ensure that the internal audits meet the requirements of the customers.
- Strategic liaison with internal customers on related issues.
- Report to management on results of the implemented management matters.
- Compiling Audit Committee and EXCO reports.
- Ensure the organisations resources are utilised as outlined in terms of the PFMA.
- Ensure that the risks that threaten the performance objectives have been identified.
- Ensure that Rand Water complies with all relevant legislations.
