**Class III Process Controller**

An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is looking for an experienced **Class III Process Controller** to join their team.

**Minimum requirements**
- N6 wastewater treatment works certificate or National Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Water Care/Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry/Process engineering and Classification certificate
- Minimum of 7 years post qualification
- Experience related to wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance.

**Skills and Competencies required**
- Understanding of The principles of physical, chemical, and biological wastewater treatment
- Strong knowledge of water quality and regulation
- Proficiency with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program and other local/state regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of the specific unit processes at their plant
- Ability to interpret process control parameters such as pH, Temperature, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) / Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), etc
- Understanding of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), SCADA systems, and how automation controls the treatment process.
- Knowledge of safe handling, dosing, and storage of treatment chemicals
- Ensuring health and safety codes are obeyed at all times.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
