**OUR SCHOOL**:

- Reddam House Bedfordview is a premium, co-educational, private school situated near the prestigious Kensington Golf Course.- Providing a balanced, holistic, innovative learning experience, encouraging students to realize their unique gifts, talents and abilities in pursuit of academic excellence, Reddam House Bedfordview school has two extensive campuses with phenomenal facilities for academics, sport and the creative arts. Our BCC Campus for ELS and Junior Preparatory students includes vibrant classrooms, spacious playgrounds, sports fields, cricket nets and tennis courts.**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- The driver is responsible for providing a safe and reliable bus service and for transporting students to and from school. He or she will also perform school related errands as requested, and transport students to field trip locations as assigned. He or she will establish an effective rapport with students and will be responsible to ensure all passengers on the bus follow Reddam House mandated procedures.- He or she will also perform other school related errands as requested, IE: maintenance, gardening, assistance with school related requirements when needed.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform daily bus checks and fill in the bus log before any trip is undertaken
- Transport students from home to school and from school to home
- Drop students only at authorized stops
- Perform school related errands
- Drive the bus for school fieldtrips, sports events.
- Work overtime if required.
- Wear the school issued uniform which identifies the driver as a school employee
- Ensure that the bus is in good operating condition by testing the brakes, tires, lights
- other components, complete the pre-trip inspection on a daily basis, and
- submit it to the Estate Manager/Principal
- Notify the Estate Manager/Principal in case of mechanical failure or lateness
- Ensure all seatbelts are in working condition before leaving the campus
- Ensure that all passengers have their seatbelts fastened before moving the bus, and maintain rules of conduct, and respond to emergencies. Transport only authorized students
- Ensure that his/her PDP and Code 10 driver’s license is valid at all times.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Matric
- Code 10 Driver’s License
- Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP)
- Able to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Prior experience driving a bus, preferably a school bus three years and more.
- An ability to communicate well with students, staff and parents.
- A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- A committed team player with the ability to take initiative
