Junior IT Technician

We are looking for an IT Technician for an Internet Service Provider

Scope:
The IT Technician will support and maintain client infrastructure, for both internal and external stakeholders with the assistance of IT Engineers and the Support Engineers.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Provide technical support to IT interns and technicians
- Ticket creation and management based on the ticketing system
- Assist all staff with remote system administration
- Perform toolbox checks, stock management, and bi-weekly server checks
- Manage the infrastructure environment from Zabbix and eSight
- Network Installation based on designs and architecture provided
- Maintain network standards at all sites - Wireless, fibre, and Copper Networks
- Ensure project tasks are up to date and completed within the given time period
- VOIP installation and support where required by IT Engineers
- Install all remote network hardware (Ubiquity, Cambium, Ligo Wave, Mikrotik)
- Manage stakeholder relationships and maintenance needs (e.g. certificates).

**Minimum requirements**
- Document all tasks and duties on the internal Wiki Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent certificate is essential
- Relevant qualification (A+, N+, MCTS, LINUX+/LPIC 1 and 2) advantageous
- Excellent networking implementation and troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP)

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Blackheath, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
