Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in the Strategy Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Demand Planner role, which is based in CCBSA Midrand. The key purpose of the role is to Collaborate and engage with Sales & Marketing teams to deliver an accurate, integrated, sales forecast. Primary objective is to provide the best possible forecast at the SKU x Sales Office x week, enabling supply chain to meet demand at least cost.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
Key Outputs and Accountabilities
- Participate in developing and help to maintain and accurate 18 month Rolling Estimate forecast in line with company strategy.
- Monitor daily sales and within agreed upon change parameters, review and maintain 13 week operational forecast. Maintain high level of forecast accuracy for short-term forecast that drives MRP.
- Validate and maintain sales history and coordinate with Sales & Marketing to ensure understanding of, and inclusion of future promotional information and new products in forecasts.
- Create predictive, high quality forecasts and forecast analytics using available systems and input from relevant role players in sales & marketing.
- Weekly monitor exception reports by category. Conduct root cause analysis. Evaluate statistical signals. Develop model enhancements and/or parameter optimization.
- Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization to ensure consensus and understanding in the forecasting process.

Judgement and decision making
- Accountable to deliver parts of the CCBA Demand Plan
- Manage and change the Operational Forecasts based on Sales Input to ensure an updated, accurate sales forecast.
- Quantify impacts of promotional and other Marketing or Sales events planned.

**Skills, Experience & Education**:
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Statistics.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 Years Business Experience, with 3 years in FMCG Planning
- Experience in using Advanced Demand Planning Systems and applied Statistical Forecasting Models.
- Financial, Economic & Commercial Business Acumen.
- Coca-Cola & Bottling Sales, Marketing Acumen.
- Experience in using an ERP system, ideally SAP specifically MRP.

- Proven quantitative and analytical skills
- Demonstrated good communication skills and leadership within cross-functional teams to manage the Consensus Forecasting process.
- Ability to shape and influence.
- Self-motivated individual who continuously looks for improvement opportunities.
- Highly structured, but also open to new ideas.
- Highly analytical with the ability to creatively solve problems and take ownership of problems and resolution.
- Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and inputs, example business trends, seasonality, consumption patterns.
- Requires high level of interaction with multiple departments and ability to communicate, collaborate and convince managers, at higher or lower levels, on best plan to achieve company goals.
