Hospitality Lecturer

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
Design and deliver effective and engaging lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in the field of hospitality and catering services.
Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and teaching resources to ensure relevance and alignment with industry trends and standards.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and active learning.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, technology, and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student understanding and practical skills.
Assess student performance through assignments, exams, projects, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Mentor and guide students in their academic and career development, offering insights into industry opportunities and professional growth.
Stay current with industry advancements, trends, and best practices, integrating this knowledge into teaching materials and activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of the hospitality program and contribute to the college's academic community.
Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications**:
A relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
Proven industry experience and expertise in hospitality and catering services, demonstrated through work experience, certifications, and accomplishments.
Teaching experience at the tertiary level is advantageous, but not mandatory.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes, including virtual learning platforms and multimedia tools.
Passion for education and a genuine interest in nurturing students' academic and professional growth.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
Adaptability and willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods and contribute to program development.
Commitment to maintaining high academic standards and fostering a positive learning environment.
