**Job purpose**

The primary purpose is to report on the company’s total existing and new membership metrics as well as per sales channel (advisor channel, direct sales, corporate, individual, etc.) Assist with member data analysis and interpretation.

Prepare and present marketing and sales analytics such as market size, competitor analysis, market and sales channel analysis, market trend analysis, pricing analysis and competitor scheme options analysis and make recommendations assisting towards scheme growth. Utilise proven primary and secondary market research methods to produce high quality and timely research deliverables.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Market Insights**
- Scan medical schemes sector, relevant content from all media channels including websites to develop responses to initiatives that Support the Distribution and Marketing department with their technical marketing needs
- Develop and report/present at least twice a month; pro-active examples where the company’s products have a competitive advantage

**Competitor, Segment, Employer Groups, and medical scheme option Analysis**
- Prepare and present quarterly industry analysis and competitor analysis identifying trends, emerging patterns with recommendations
- Prepare and present quarterly market segmentation analysis and internal analysis of trends in specific employer groups, employer group sectors and brokerages
- Prepare and present comparative analysis of all medical scheme options amongst top 10 competitors
- Top 4 schemes comparative documents

**Identify Market Gaps**
- Analyse scheme launches to identify market gaps that the company can capitalize on to reach prospective members
- Submit analysis of market gaps
- Support Business Development Specialist with research and relevant information on identified M & A targets

**Underwriting analysis and decisions updated on shared drive**
- Support the Distribution team with underwriting analysis
- Update the underwriting sheet
- to date with the underwriting requests received on a monthly basis
- Submit the updated underwriting sheet monthly to the Broker Sales Manager
- Autotask report within 8 hours of request

**Reporting**
- Provide timely accurate Broker Distribution Channel reporting to the Distribution Channel Manager and Executive Management on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Provide timely Organizational statistics to Executive Management every month
- Provide timely accurate Distribution Channel and Direct Sales information for the Monthly
Newsletter
- Analyse, interpret available data and innovate to improve on reporting efficiency and relevance

**Requirements**:

- **Grade 12 with Mathematics as an inherent requirement**
- Diploma / Degree (Information Systems or Statistics or Financial Management or equivalent)
- Qualification in Microsoft Office Programs - Expert in Excel
- 1+ year experience within the Medical Aid Industry
- 1 - 3 years within a Marketing and Sales Analytics role
