**About the Role**

Assist Group SA (Pty) Ltd and its legal division, Legal Convey and Risk Assist (Pty) Ltd, are appointing a **Juristic Manager** to oversee and execute the legal and compliance framework across its subsidiaries. This is a senior strategic role directly supporting the CEO, COO, and EXCO in driving operational excellence and mitigating legal risk within the real estate investment environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the Juristic Department, including the setup of structures and systems.
- Oversee conveyancing, litigation, and registration of securities through panel attorneys.
- Act as Principal for **PPRA** compliance and ensure **FIC** legal adherence.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts including:

- Property agreements, master agreements, sales of shares, service-level agreements, and subscription contracts.
- Serve on the **Risk Committee** and contribute to legal risk identification and mitigation.
- Facilitate and manage:

- Pre-legal actions (e.g., mediation, letters of demand)
- Stakeholder coordination across property buyers, sellers, agents, and banks
- Client representation in real estate transactions
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant legal frameworks, including AML regulations and property law.
- Implement innovative legal and operational procedures that align with the Group’s mission.

**Requirements**:

- Admitted Attorney with **5-7+ years of post-articles experience**:

- Proven experience in property law, conveyancing, and litigation
- Experience managing legal SLAs with external panel attorneys
- Registered with the **Legal Practice Council - Western Cape**:

- Strong understanding of PPRA and FIC compliance requirements
- Ability to assess legal and operational risks across complex property deals
- Experience serving on a Risk Committee or similar governance forum
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills
- High attention to detail, structured problem-solving, and team leadership

**Technical Competencies**
- Proficiency in SaaS-based legal platforms (conveyancing, litigation, compliance)
- Strong computer literacy across all devices and platforms
- Bilingual in **Afrikaans and English** (additional languages advantageous)

**Additional Requirements**
- Own transport and office setup (computer, internet, printer/scanner)
- Based in Cape Town or willing to work from the **Tygervalley head office**:

- Willingness to undergo industry-specific product and compliance training
- Professional appearance and a strong ethical foundation
- Must have an existing legal or property business network
