**The role**:The role will support the Chairman of a well-established and super successful investment holding company. With shareholding and operational interests in renewable energy, petrochemical and industrial sectors, the continuous growth of the group offers you endless opportunities and exposure to a variety of skills, tasks and business practices. Your proactive and energetic demeanour will ensure your successful path in this dynamic organisation. You certainly won’t be bored In addition to the outstanding professional organisational and administration support you will provide to the Chairman, you must have excellent proven time management skills, be self-motivated and be able to act without guidance.
This highly ethical and professional individual fulfils not only the role of Chairman of the investment holdings group, but also non-executive director of various other boards. His busy and complex schedule requires the skills of an exceptionally seasoned and devoted person who shares in his morals and ethics and who will serve not only as gatekeeper, but be his central point of contact, instilling confidence in all stakeholders dealing with the executive office.
**You will be required to support him in the following areas**:
- Managing information flow to the Chairman in a timely and accurate manner Drafting and executing communication on behalf of the Chairman
- Organising meetings by generating invitations and coordinating complex calendars with executive teams within the group companies, top level clients and international guests
- Reserving meeting rooms, organise catering, audio/video and other essential services as needed for events and functions
- Answering incoming calls and providing support as required by taking inclusive messages that allows the Chairman to respond effectively
- Maintaining highly organised confidential files and records
- Managing multiple projects, taking on new responsibilities, autonomously providing solutions and assistance and handing novel issues
- Planning and booking local and international travel and creating expense reports using systems
- Compiling your own research and presenting programs for the Chairman while he is travelling internationally
- Online banking payments for business and personal invoices and ability to handle all FICA requests
- Personal diary management as well as personal administration including general household management, home automation systems, vehicle management and maintenance, license renewals and insurance matters
- Event planning both personal and business in nature which includes gift for special occasions
**Qualifications and experience**
- Minimum: Matric with tertiary qualification ideal
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role supporting an Executive Chairperson
- Intermediate to advanced user of the full MS Office suite
- Tech savvy and experience with office and household gadgets
- Active listening skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Pro-active with executive flair and a keen interest in business
- A willingness to be flexible and available after hours when required
