**Job Purpose**

Plan, direct, or coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, or planning services. Manage logistics personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations. Manage 3rd party logistics and ensure availability.

**Responsibilities**

**Operations Management**
- Supervise others working within established operational systems

**Incoming Goods**
- Manage a medium-sized and medium-complexity warehouse and stores using existing procedures and develop new procedures when required to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately
- Work closely with warehouse management
- Manage the returns / reverse logistics process

**Outgoing goods**
- Liaise with 3rd party logistics providers to ensure deliveries are executed, working with them to resolve any issues that arise

**Inventory**
- Manage and recommend improvements to the delivery of part of the organization's inventory control program to identify any issues and solve problems
- Complete stock takes where required

**Leadership and Direction**
- Communicate the local action plan, explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and the broader organization's mission and vision, motivating people to achieve local business goals.

**Reporting**
- Provide management reports as required including but not limited to: stock on hand, delivery status, obsolete stock etc

**Health, Safety and Environment**
- Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of oneself and others in the workplace, instruct the team in safe working methods, identify instances of risky behaviours within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate

**Internal Client Relationship Management**
- Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues

**Transport**
- Manage the transportation of goods and supplies for a medium-sized organization using existing procedures
- Review and recommend improvements to procedures to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies

**Experience**
- Minimum 3 years experience as a warehouse supervisor or manager
- ERP experience preferred (Oracle) and MS Office proficient (excel, word)
- Experience in supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years)
