Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Lead Engineer

Company Overview:
Room King is an innovative marketplace technology business focused on revolutionizing the room rental industry across Africa. Our platform is designed to seamlessly connect tenants with landlords, simplifying the rental process and fostering a community of trust and reliability.

Job Summary:
This role will involve oversight of our MVP development and hiring and management of an agile team of software engineers, with a focus on enhancing our platform's capability, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement technical strategies that align with our company's goals.
- Lead the engineering team in full-stack development tasks, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
- Architect, maintain, and scale our technology infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the marketplace.
- Manage DevOps, ensuring seamless deployment, continuous integration, and stable operations.
- Oversee the information architecture to ensure it supports the scalability and security of our platform.
- Lead and expand the development and product teams, managing talent acquisition, training, and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology department.
- Work closely with the management tean to align the technology division with business needs.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and market trends to keep our platform competitive.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a CTO, Lead Engineer, or in a similar leadership role within a tech-driven environment.
- Extensive experience in full-stack development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Deep knowledge of DevOps best practices Experience with cloud services, serverless architecture, and scalable database design.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing both development and product teams.
- Demonstrable ability to think strategically and execute with a vision.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong results-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English

**Salary**: R100,000.00 - R160,000.00 per month
