Tractor Operator

**Job Advert Summary**:
Responsible for safe and correct use, operation and maintenance of agriculture / horticulture related tool and plant.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 and or related NQF Level 4 - 3 years’ experience with tractor - 2 years' experience using a broad range of Agricultural/ Horticultural implements and tractor drawn equipment - A valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s license and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.

**Primary Duties**:

- Use of specialized tractor drawn equipment. E.g. Wood Chipper, Bailer, Stump grinder etc. - Load and offload goods, refuse waste etc. Responsible for the separation of waste using the correct securing process - Dirt roads - decide where/what spoil to fill with - Grading and leveling - Best practice in handling and operating assets - Daily/Weekly tractor and implement checklists and approved maintenance - Correct filling of logs books and checklists - Undertake senior Gardener work when no tractor /work is available
- Fire breaks - operate related fire fighting /preventation equipment

**Knowledge**:

- Basic knowledge of fire fighting - Basic knowledge of first aid - Basic SHE knowledge on all related functions
- Operators license

**Skills**:

- Communication (Verbal & written)
