Supervisor (Rendering Plant)

**Job Advert Summary**:
We are looking for someone with experience as a Supervisor in our Production/Processing Department who is responsible, hardworking and goal driven.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Grade 12 will be essential.

At least 2 years Supervisory experience.

Experience within a production environment will be advantageous.

Boiler certificate will serve as an advantage.

Willingness to work in condition of a rendering plant, including but not limited to, bad odours, heat and other related issues.

Ability and willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends and public holidays when needed.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have basic problem-solving skills.

Must be able to perform under pressure.

Basic people supervision skills.

Computer literate.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Ensure housekeeping is done frequently in responsible area.

Effective and productive through safe and stable workflow.

Supervision of employees to ensure tasks are completed and to take corrective action where needed.

Understanding the calculations of daily targets and ensuring production targets are met.

Taking action when the daily targets are behind schedule.

Daily stock rotation based on the LIFO principle.

Ensure daily checklist is completed on Rendering Plant equipment.

Ensure optimum production processes.

Adhere to and ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed.

Carry out any reasonable instruction from the superiors.
