Junior Contracts Engineer - Johannesburg, Gauteng - Job ID 3965

Junior Contracts Engineer needed to be responsible for the execution of purchase orders for process equipment and plant supplied by the company in accordance with the contract, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, within budget, on time and in conjunction with the Contracts Manager, Contracts Director and QMS.

Job description / core competencies:
Assist the Contracts Manager and/or Contract Engineer to meet the Contract objectives including planning, monitoring, and controlling all aspects of the Contract.

Review of Customer specifications and ensure design is carried out in accordance with the Contract.

Ensure equipment/plant basic and detail engineering are issued in accordance with the Technical Specification and Contract Management Plan.

Administration and control all commercial aspects of the Contract including the contract budget, variations, invoicing and the control of Suppliers.

Identify and procure all necessary material and equipment in accordance with the procurement plan.

Manage ITP/QCP related issues with the Customer.

Assure compliance with all safety and quality related issues.

Liaise during manufacturing and/or construction process with Customer & Suppliers.

Review modifications to mechanical drawings for as-built documentation.

Arrange the testing/inspections with Customer and compile all necessary quality documentation after acceptance by Customer, including closing of the Contract.

Complete equipment checks lists, punch lists, completion certificates and commissioning of the company’s equipment/plant at Customer sites.

Co-ordinate and plan commissioning functions with the Site Supervisors and Process Engineers.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
N.Dip Mech or Chem Eng / B.Tech Mech or Chem Eng / B.Eng Mech or Chem Eng.

Postgraduate with limited or now work experience.

Experience in the process equipment field will be a huge advantage.
