Head Waiter

Asara Wine Estate and Hotel situated in Stellenbosch has the above position available for a friendly, presentable, hardworking, and reliable individual to join us for our summer season.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks.
- Ability to lead a team of waitrons within a 5* establishment
- Provide support to team in Restaurant
- Assist restaurant manager with daily cash up, ordering of stock etc.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Ability to Sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.
- Have good knowledge of the Wine Industry

**Skills needed**
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Computer savvy (POS System)
- Detail-orientated
- Ability to multitask, and prioritize
- Calm under pressure

**Qualifications and Experience**
- High School Diploma
- 3 years’ experience in a waitering role within an upmarket establishment (hospitality setting preferred)
