**Job Title**:Compliance Manager

**Key duties and responsibilities**:
**1. Documentation, timesheets, and policy review**:

- Ensure all documentation is checked and signed off by the compliance officer before payment is made in terms of compliance.
- Ensure monthly reviews of timesheet files, sign offs and ensure completed within required deadlines, files and that all discrepancies are resolved timeously.
- Review of invoice register to ensure that compliance issues identified are cleared/resolved timeously.
- Review, communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards in all Leases, Agreements POPIA, etc.

**2. Internal & External Audit Support**:

- Formulate annual plan and conduct compliance audit across the business.
- Review and ensure compliance of audit samples prior to hand over to auditors.
- Support Grants Management by conducting pre-award assessments for all sub recipients.
- Perform all cyclical site visits of all sub recipients to ensure compliance with sub recipient policies and procedures and funder rules and regulations.
- Prepare feedback reports for submission and follow up on recommendations and ensure matters raised are timeously resolved.
- Conduct site visits for petty cash compliance reviews, procurement and other policy and procedure adherence.

**3. Risk Management**:

- Conduct employee and supplier checks on OFAC, SAMS, FSRS and other systems.
- Ensure organization adhere to our internal Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain the supplier contract register and communicate with the stakeholders for timeous terminations or extensions.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial of donor regulations and legislation and ensure compliance is adhered on review of daily payments.
- Review and maintain the legislative framework and escalate any areas of non-compliance to the respective managers.
- Actively participate in the Bid Evaluation Committee for all procurement over the threshold, as per the Delegation of Authority.

**4. Compliance Training Needs Analysis**:

- Analyze internal compliance training needs and facilitate and or conduct training programs for the business on relevant Policies and SOPs, funder rules and regulations and other legislation.
- Evaluate learning programmes and outcomes; modify and adapt where necessary as per business changes.
- Design and implement compliance processes and policies adherence.

**5. People management**:

- Manage staff (in line with policies, procedures, and standards) by:

- Partnering with HR on recruitment and induction of new team members.
- Managing the performance review process.
- Identifying training needs or staff support needs and ensuring that such training or support is provided.
- Mentoring and guiding staff by facilitating regular meetings.

**Minimum qualifications and experience**:

- B Com (Accounting) or relevant qualification.
- At least 4-5 years Compliance Management experience.
- Sound knowledge of donor grants and Funder rules and regulations, as essential.
- Sound contractual knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting.
- Sound knowledge of VAT act and other applicable legislation.
- Proficient in all MS Packages-PowerPoint, Word (Excel advanced).
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage people.
- Valid drivers license and willing to travel as and when required.

**Package & Remuneration**:
