**Procurement/Commercial Specialist**

R600 000 p.a. CTC

**Klerksdorp**

We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Specialist operating in the mining industry to operate predominantly in the Klerksdorp and Limpopo Regions.

**Requirements**:

- **Tertiary education in procurement/sourcing/commercial/contracts**:

- 10 years industry experience
- **Exposure with dynamic results oriented Procurement across Platinum/Gold/Underground mining - ESSENTIAL (will not look at any other industry)**:

- **Experience in the complete formal tender process is ESSENTIAL**
- Must have experience in the full contract lifecycle portfolio i.e. tender process, adjudications, contracts, price adjustments and contract amendments
- Good administration and reporting skills relevant to each project
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a contract department on a mine and/or procurement capital projects environment
- Must speak and have good written skills in English
- Must be able to communicate on an executive level
- Be experienced in the complete formal tender process
- Must be able to compile formal tender documents relevant to supply, services and capital
- Must be able to compile and evaluate bids received
- Must have good negotiation skills
- MS Excel ADVANCED (Reporting/Pivotal Tables)
- SAP Preferred
- Ability to travel unhindered to clients as necessary

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Working knowledge of purchasing fundamentals and procurement work processes and policies
- Ability to focus on value delivery and maintaining sustainable competitive advantages
- Effective negotiator and able to persuade others (internal and external clients) through effective communication skills
- Financial and market analysis skills and effectively manipulate and analyse data
- Initiative to challenge inefficiencies and process deviations
- Strong data analysis skills to effectively identify value opportunities
- The ability to work across cultures and geographies
