**Job Purpose**:
To assist with the implementation,control of incentive bonus schemes at all depots within eThekwini
electricity

**Key Responsibility Areas**:
Performs the functions necessary to estimate and verify work done by eThekwini Electricity
staff in the labour based incentive schemes being administered at the regional depots.
Verifies and assesses work done in accordance with the standards manuals and the
procedures and specifications of staff operating in the various schemes.
Attends daily meetings between depot managers and productivity staff relating to the
productivity in the depot.
Reports misuse and abuse of NDM vehicles to the relevant depot managers.
Liaises with consultants and undertakes daily assessments of work completed by contractors.
Advises superintendents and supervisors of more efficient working methods.
Conducts weekly reconciliation and audit checks on all documents, prior to payments being
made.
Initiates disciplinary procedures resulting from fraudulent booking claimed by the
superintendent,supervisor,consultant and contractor.
Assists in the training of depot managers,superintendents,supervisors and existing/new
productivity officers.
Captures daily progress reports and associated computer related functions.

**Essential Requirements**:
National Technical Certificate (N4) (Electrical).
Served a recognised apprenticeship as an Electrician.
Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
3 years relevant experience as a Competent Person as defined in the Occupational Health and
Safety Act (1993) and experienced in the installation and maintenance of electrical distribution
equipment.
Computer Literacy.

**Preferred Requirements**:
4 years relevant experience with a thorough knowledge of Ethekwini Electricitys distribution
system and technology and management practices.
