As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Demand Planner Manager to join our team. This role reports directly to the CEO and will oversee a team of 8 direct reports.
**Job Summary**:
The Senior Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and executing demand planning strategies to optimise inventory management, enhance forecasting accuracy, and drive overall business performance whilst managing a dynamic a diverse team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies and processes to drive accurate forecasting and optimise inventory levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, to gather relevant data and insights to enhance demand forecasts.
- Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Lead a team of demand planners, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators and departmental goals.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate demand planning performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to align purchasing plans with demand forecasts and ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Drive demand planning process improvements, leveraging technology and tools to streamline operations and enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in demand planning and incorporate them into the company's strategies and processes.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Min of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related roles, preferably within the retail industry.
**Requirements**:
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand planning strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel and related planning systems
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in forecasting methodologies and demand planning tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience in directly managing a team of demand planners.
- Ability to thrive in an agile and dynamic work environment, with the flexibility to switch between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Proficient in utilising demand planning software and systems
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and is confident to influence and persuade at all level
