We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Structural Draughtsman** to join our client based in Cape Town. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and comprehensive technical drawings for structural projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design intent.
- Create detailed structural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using industry-standard software (such as AutoCAD or Revit).
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards in all drawings.
- Review and analyze technical documents, specifications, and sketches to identify potential issues or discrepancies.
- Modify and revise drawings as necessary to accommodate changes or updates to project requirements.
- Coordinate with other drafters and designers to maintain consistency and accuracy across drawings.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to drawings, including revisions, versions, and archives.
- Assist in the preparation of material lists, cost estimates, and project schedules as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in structural design technologies and tools.

**Qualifications**:

- **Degree or Diploma**: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of **3 years** of relevant experience as a Structural Draughtsman.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) principles is advantageous.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Team Player**: Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to identify and resolve design-related challenges.
