**About the Position**:
The Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of the learning and development cycle, aimed at enhancing employee skills, knowledge and capability. Ensuring the creation and sustainability of a high performance culture by leading, inspiring and motivating employees through learning and development.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
**Design & Delivery**
- Create and execute learning strategies & related frameworks as part of the organisations roadmap
- Evaluate individual and organisaitonal learning needs, as part of new projects/campaign implementation and business as usual requirements
- Design and develop outcomes based learning programmes ( using e-learning & blended learning platforms/approach)
- Manage the effective delivery of learning initiatives & programmes ( using various mediums mentioned above)
- To support the operational engagement and communication model
- Proactively take accountability of knowledge management within all operational areas ensuring teams are kept abreast ( i.e knowledge is valid, accurate, current & sufficient)
- Support & effectively deliver on change initiatives where required
- Utilization of Quality teams Insights and continuous Improvement call outs to modify programs as needed.
- Manage the holistic onboarding programme for all roles
**Governance & Related Administration**
- Ensure timeous completion of all required reporting
- Tracking and effective updating of all training records as per legislation
- Support BBEE completion & submission where necessary
- Facilitation of skills grants (where applicable) & engagement with SETA
- Outline process to support content delivery and other related process's in keeping with the learning cycle
- Experience in the use of learner management tools (LMS & other knowledge based tools)
**Performance Management/Enhancement**
- Adopting other tasks or projects to support employee growth and development
- Drive a continuous learning medium by working with Quality, Projects and other Operational insights to address skills gaps that will lead to a higher level of patient engagement
- Delivery of regular learning programmes to business as usual teams
- Analyze other site-related feedback to identify trends and related opportunites to improvement performance
- Ensure the effective design of all competency based assessments and related tools
**Leadership & Specialist Development**
- Assess the success of development plans and guide employees to make the most of their learning opportunities
- Support the management team to develop their teams through career pathing & succession planning
- Identify and develop in-house leadership programmes ( leadership, management programmes)
- Training, coaching, and leading Team Leads and other specialist roles, as they progress
- Outline a coaching model to support the transition of employees from a novice to master level
**Effective Self-Management & Performance Ownership**
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks within your team and demonstrate effective self-management.
- Follow through to ensure that the delivery of the end to end learning and development cycle is in keeping with best practice standards
- Present with an agile approach to adopt fast pace changes impacting the business form an L&D perspective
- Take ownership of driving your career development by participating in the company's ongoing training and development activities.
