**About Us**:
Caterlink is an established foodservice supplier serving Cape Town’s hospitality industry. We offer a wide range of dry, chilled, frozen foods, and non-food items. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded **FMCG Buyer** to join our dynamic team.

**Role Overview**:
You’ll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products across multiple categories to ensure the right stock is available at the right time and price. Your efforts will directly support our service excellence and competitiveness.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Source and purchase quality products across categories
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Manage inventory to avoid stockouts or overstock
- Build and maintain supplier relationships
- Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement strategy
- Track purchasing performance and manage budgets
- Handle product life cycle changes (introductions, delisting’s, substitutions)

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years’ buying/procurement experience, preferably in FMCG, foodservice, or hospitality
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain knowledge
- Proficient in Excel and procurement systems
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Able to manage pressure and multiple priorities
- Relevant qualification preferred
