Systems Support Administrator

The institute has a job opening for a **Systems Support Administrator **within our **Information Systems** department. The prime role of the Systems Support Administrator is to provide technical support and training to our team. It is required that the information and guidance provided to the team, enables them to be effective, have a sound understanding of NetSuite, our Student Portal and other systems. It will be required that the administrator understands our internal business processes so that accurate and timeous support can be provided to the users.
**Position Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Creating new users and maintaining the security roles of all current and / or active users.
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, administering and monitoring the systems in support of the business processing requirements.
- Perform publishing and upgrading of developed systems on the hosting server.
- Authorizing and monitoring access in accordance with the organisational policies.
- Investigate unauthorized access and the performance of administrative duties relating to security management by following and recommending best practice to safeguard the integrity and security of our systems.
- Support users in their general daily tasks by enabling them to use the systems for its intended purpose and monitor areas for improvement identified that will contribute to the automation of tasks that have been identified.
- Support and trouble shoot issues.
- Support and manage functionality of the systems and work closely with the various department leaders.
- Be the first point of contact and act as the lead user support and champion of our systems.
- Fully engage with users by having a strong supportive presence.
- Create user guides and document processes that will provide self-service information that is readily available for user reference purposes.
- Coordinate and lead dedicated workshops and training sessions for users for the purpose of induction, upskilling and re-skilling.
- Communicate latest releases, add-ons or improvements to the users to ensure that they are up to date with any changes or improvements made.
- Maintenance, configuration and training of AI chat agent.
- Basic Quality Assurance tasks that will include, but not be limited to:
- Testing new development before release;
- Review designs and specifications.
**Application Requirements**:
- BSc Degree in Computer Science of Information Technology is preferred.
- BCom Accounting or Financial Degree will be a distinct advantage.
- 2 years’ experience as a ERP and Systems Administrator (NetSuite ERP, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct, SYSPRO, Oracle ERP Cloud or SAP ERP) is required. Having experience in NetSuite will be most advantageous.
- Above average ability to understand, use and learn new technology.
- Must have your own transport.
