JOB TITTLE: Forman x 2
MISSION: The Forman will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes planning daily activities, managing resources, and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Forman: Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards. Supervise the construction team, including site foremen, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
- Budget Management: Track project expenses and ensure that costs remain within the approved budget. Report any financial discrepancies or issues to upper management.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing any concerns, and ensuring that client requirements are met throughout the project.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce health and safety policies on-site to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, daily logs, and any changes to the project scope or timeline. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordination with Suppliers: Manage the procurement and delivery of construction materials and ensure that supplies are available on-site as needed, avoiding delays in the construction process.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address issues that arise during construction, finding solutions to keep the project on track and minimizing disruptions.
- Training and Mentoring: Train junior staff and new team members on best practices and safety procedures, fostering a productive and cohesive team environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Site Agent
