**A great opportunity has become available to join a fast-paced environment with a giant global FMCG company. My client is looking for a seasoned Governance Controller: Operations** CIA **with strong operational finance experience and knowledge to join their dynamic team.**

**The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following duties**:

- **Providing independent testing of processes, procedures, and controls throughout the region.**
***:

- **Providing detailed feedback to line management and agree corrective action plans with deadlines**
***:

- **Collaborating with the Company’s Governance Manager to ensure annual testing plan is aligned to the Company’s risk profile.**
***:

- **Collaborating with Governance Controller Systems to maximise automated governance.**
***
- **Sarbanes Oxley, Internal and External Audit**:
***
- **Preparing and reviewing current internal controls (standard within organization)**
***:

- **Reviewing proposed documented processes and procedures to ensure that efficiencies and effectiveness within the operation are not negatively impacted**
***:

- **Monitoring that internal and external audit findings are closed out within agreed deadlines**
***:

- **Providing independent testing**

***
- **CSA - Control Self-Assessment Tool**:
***
- **Collaborating with team and operations for proposed changes to CSA’s**
***:

- **Quarterly submission to Head Office**
***:

- **Monitoring that action plans and deadline dates are being delivered on by the operation**
***:

- **Independent testing on CSA’s (twice per annum)**

***
- **Regional Audit Committee Meeting**:
***
- **Partnering with the regional FM for the preparation and running of the RAC meeting.**
***:

- **Identifying risks and opportunities and report to management**

***
- **Reporting**:
***
- **Providing agreed governance reporting to the regional and financial management**
***:

- **Aligning governance and processes reporting across the region, highlighting best practice and recommend actions**
***:

- **Highlighting key governance, control and process deficiencies to the regional teams and agree timelines to close out.**

- **Other**
***
- **Stock counts: Attend, co-ordinate, approve results & process improvement**
***:

- **LDP’s: Testing, reporting, corrective actions & ensuring management responsibilities performed**
***:

- **Continuous improvement in governance practices to streamline process**
***:

- **Support to Governance Controller: Systems on identifying, building, testing, and implementing system driven controls**
***:

- **Partnering with Company HQ to mitigate SODs**
***:

- **Ensuring compliance to corporate governance practices.**
***:

- **Ad-Hoc process and governance evaluation.**

***

- **Minimum BCom Honours**
***:

- **CIA non-negotiable**
***:

- **2-3 years operational finance experience essential**
***:

- **Previous governance & control experience an advantage**
***
