**The Job Requirements**:

- Lead and manage the Cyber Security team.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the team as needed.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Manage incident response and investigate potential security breaches.
- Monitor and develop robust security controls and protocols.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company's security standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in cyber security and ensure the team is informed of the same.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on security awareness and risk management.

**Knowledge Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, practices, and technologies
- Experience in developing and implementing cyber security policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of operating systems and networking protocols.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Familiarity with encryption technologies and techniques.
- Understanding of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methods.
- Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and security.
- Familiarity with incident response and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ability to conduct forensic investigations and analysis.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations such as GDPR and POPIA.
- Experience in identifying and assessing potential cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and SIEM systems
- ** Network security**: knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
- ** Risk assessment and management**: ability to evaluate the risks and vulnerabilities of an organization's assets and develop policies and procedures to mitigate them.
- ** Incident response and disaster recovery**: ability to handle security incidents and develop a plan for disaster recovery.
- ** Cryptography**: knowledge of encryption, decryption, and digital signatures.
- ** Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing**: ability to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the organization's defenses.
- ** Knowledge of operating systems**: including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- ** Secure coding**: knowledge of secure coding practices and programming languages like Java, C++, Python, and Ruby.
- ** Cloud security**: knowledge of cloud security best practices and technologies.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field is usually required. A Masters degree in a related field is preferred but not always required.

**Required Experience**:

- Cyber Security Specialist Managers in South Africa should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cyber Security role. They should have experience in handling security incidents, risk management, compliance and governance, vulnerability assessments, network security and cloud security.
- Cyber Security Managers should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work under pressure and be a team player.

**Package & Remuneration**:

- Negotiable depending on Qualifications and Experience.
