We are seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic Logistic Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of the position:
To ensure safe, efficient and effective uplifts and deliveries of packed and bulk product deliveries to meet OOSA demand and customer requirements.

Key position accountabilities include:

- Coordinating loading activities at all times and during shutdown periods (both planned and unplanned).
- Coordinating all transporter administration supporting the movement of product.
- Instructing daily loading plans for various Refineries and load locations
- Actioning information received from CSC via Global Scheduling Tool on time.
- Updating the Global Scheduling Tool daily with actual delivered amounts and liaising with CSC for next day’s deliveries.
- Receiving and checking that all POD’s from transporters are accurate and received on time.
- Challenging and rectifying timeously with the transporter all POD’s that are not accurate or are delayed.
- Sending correct loading slips to transporters on time.
- Creating ST/OT for all the product transfers
- Capturing of PoDs for all delivered product on JDE
- Submitting checked POD’s for invoicing and recording all trips submitted in the invoicing book.
- Receiving and recording all transporter invoices on transport recon before sign off by Logistics Manager.
- Challenging transporters on accuracy, missing details and/or stock losses.
- Receiving near miss reports and following up on mitigation feedback from responsible parties.
- Adhering to all applicable procedures and other HSSEQ and ISO requirements related to work activities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification, Skills and Experience must include:
(Please note that each point below is non-negotiable)
- Relevant tertiary qualification. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or similar.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a Scheduling Role or similar.
- Knowledge and in depth understanding of Logistics Costing and Trip efficiencies.
- Knowledge and Experience with JDE System functionality on Logistics.
- High level computer literacy (Microsoft Office 2010) essential.
- Strong numeracy skills with a commercial/business mind-set.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to take ownership/responsibility of the function.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
- Excellent organizing, coordinating and time management skills, must be deadline driven.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under constant pressure.
- Ability to work in a changing business environment and provide strong problem-solving solutions.
