**Salary**: Market Related
as **Environmental, Health & Safety Site Coordinator** you will ensure compliance with the law and the Company’s environmental, health, safety and security procedures, standards, and processes. You will establish an ongoing assessment of the implementation of the EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Management system to comply with local legislation and Company’s EHS requirements and develop a strategy for site investment in EHS-related infrastructure.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure communication of EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) legal requirements at the site
- Implement the EHS strategy at the site by developing and aligning local plans and provide proactive feedback
- Participate in local decision making and support local needs in agreement with Management
- Ensure that EHS resources are properly allocated to core EHS activities and any other operational activities
- Identify and prioritize needs, propose, and obtain approval for the local EHS budget and manage it in accordance with the guidelines of the management team
- Communicate in a timely manner for any off-site activities and seek approval from the Site Managers and rely on the EMEA Shared Resources team for EHS expertise
- Elect and set up EHS representative meetings as per statutory requirements
- Overall responsibility and compliance of the Company’s EHS, making sure staff are aware of the importance and follow safety protocol.
- Advising employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace.
- Implement practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting EHS working practices in the workplace
- Conduct/organise relevant health and safety training for staff as required
- Conduct all “risk assessments” as required by legislation and are reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same
- Conduct and carryout internal and compliance audits of all sites; report on findings and manage issue log through to completion
- Carry out all risk assessments and special assessments for each site as required by the business
- Co-ordinate and manage first aid and fire safety representatives for all sites
- To recommend and implement control measures and advise on the standard of PPE issued to employees
- To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms
- Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.
- To identify areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and the Company
- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement such changes where relevant
- Bring to the attention of the Leadership Team any relevant new legislation
- Attend any courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organisation
- Liaise with the Facilities Co-ordinator to establish contractor health & safety procedures
- Immediately contact the Leadership Team if situations are found, that in the opinion of the EHS Manager require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation
- Any other ad hoc health and safety duties as required
- Manage all EHS Audits
- Manage the Contractors onsite
- Managing emergency procedures (such as fire alarm drills) and organising emergency teams such as fire marshals and first aiders
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma or suitable qualification in the field of HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental), Chemistry, Engineering, or a related Science.
- Relevant experience in a similar position
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and/or environmental regulations
- Knowledge of standards and benchmarks
- To be successful in this position, it is important to be able to work in a team and transversally with autonomy and reactivity

- Effectively influence those at a senior level
- Professional in their approach to dealing with issues and employees
- Appreciation of confidentiality and discretion
- Strong organizational or administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Focused on delivering outstanding customer service to the Company’s internal customers and contractors
- IT literate and a comprehensive understanding of all Windows based programs
